Telemarketing to Businesses

Are businesses exempt from the telemarketing sales rules and if so, would this include sole proprietorships?

Answer:

It is my understanding that a bank can obtain the do not call list for their area without charge. I further understand that a bank can call virtually any business and make a sales pitch. One fuzzy area has been farms, but I haven't heard of any problems making those calls.
