Using ASMs Alerts for High-Risk Reviews

Answered by:

Question:
Can I solely rely on alerts from my automated surveillance monitoring system to conduct my high-risk reviews?
Answer:

No. While ASM systems are an important tool in the review process, relying only on the alert output and resolutions would not sufficiently qualify as a high-risk review. Reviews should include the reason why they were on the list, any due diligence collected, areas reviewed, activity variance from the prior review and an overall summary of the review, including a statement why the customer was still determined to be high-risk.
