Women-owned Business: Learn All About It
You can learn about women-owned businesses at the expense of the Fed. That agency has produced a videotape that is designed to "heighten awareness" about lending to women-owned businesses. The video includes testimonials of women business owners about their experiences in obtaining credit.
The video is designed for both lenders and potential borrowers. The program emphasizes that women-owned businesses are the fastest growing segment of the economy. It also includes information about information sources, including SBA's women's Business Centers and the Federal Reserve Banks' community Affairs Offices.
The program is 30 minutes long and is available for a "nominal fee". Contact FVS Media at (800) 555-5471. While you're at it, get a copy of the "Access to Credit: A Guide for Lenders and Women Owners of Small Businesses" published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. You can call FRB-Chicago at (312) 322-5111.
These products can be useful in your CRA program under the Service Test. And what better resource than a regulator?
