Does FFIEC, or other source, have a downloadable (sortable) listing of census tracts with the tract income characteristics? When the loan is comming in the door, we would like to see if we can identify the loans from LMI tracts for alternate (better) pricing. An excel type database would allow us to.

Thank you.

I think Don posted awhile back that income by tract data would be out sometime this summer - but that may be just through the FFIEC geocoder.

Meanwhile, have you thought through the fair lending implications of this proposal? I'll admit that I haven't spent much time with it, but I keep coming back to 'redlining'. This might be OK, but I can't seem to get past that thought...

We're strictly wholesale. Some of the larger banks will pay a CRA premium for LMI loans. What we will try to do is to identify the LMI loans, take advantage of their enhanced pricing and pass that along.

Our mark-up at lock-in is consistant. We would be using the best rate sheet available for the particular product.
