The Compliance Officer can’t manage it alone because there is just too much to get done and too many areas. A committee that draws on the expertise of others with special knowledge in operations, lending, marketing, IT, security and even HR is needed. The compliance organization depends on the bank’s org chart. It isn’t a function of asset size, but must be scaled appropriately.
