Bank Trust, Mobile, Alabama, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the proper routing number for Bank Trust of 062105338; however, the fraudulent instruments are markedly dissimilar from the authentic bank checks. Authentic checks contain the Bank Trust logo on the left side of the bank name in the upper-left corner of the check. No logo appears on the counterfeit items. A copy of a counterfeit item and an authentic cashier's check (VOID) are attached for your review.
