Counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on The Poca Valley Bank, Inc, Walton, West Virginia, are reportedly in circulation

The Poca Valley Bank, Inc., Walton, West Virginia, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the proper routing number of 051503145 for The Poca Valley Bank, Inc. The counterfeit items and the authentic checks are similar. However, authentic cashier's checks include the bank's telephone number and the bank's internet Web site address under the bank's name at the top center of the check. The counterfeit items do not include this additional information. A copy of a counterfeit item and a copy of an authentic cashier's check (VOID) are attached for your review.
