Counterfeit official checks drawn on Monroe Bank & Trust, Monroe, Michigan, are reportedly in circulation

Monroe Bank & Trust, Monroe, Michigan, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit official checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the proper routing number of 072402157 for Monroe Bank & Trust. The counterfeit items and the authentic checks are similar. A copy of a counterfeit item and a copy of an authentic official check (VOID) are attached for your review.
