Counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on Pilgrim Bank, Pittsburg, Texas, are reportedly in circulation

Pilgrim Bank, Pittsburg, Texas, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the proper routing number of 096016765, which is the routing number for the drawee bank. The counterfeit items and the authentic checks are very similar. The authentic items have a bank telephone number printed just below the Main Bank address to the left of the Pilgrim Bank logo. The counterfeit items do not list the telephone number. Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic cashier's check (VOID) are attached for your review.
