Empire Bank, Springfield, Missouri, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 034806032, which is not associated with the bank. The items also display a shamrock-shaped logo, the bank's name and an Indianapolis, Indiana, street address centered below the top border.

Authentic checks display the bank's name and a Springfield, Missouri, street address centered below the top border. A "Notice to Customer" statement is printed below the left side of the "Dollars" line. Below the right side of the "Dollars" line is the following statement: "Two Signature required for over $20,000.00."

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
