Counterfeit bank checks bearing the name Southbridge Savings Bank are reportedly in circulation

Southbridge Savings Bank, Southbridge, Massachusetts, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit bank checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 211371735, which is assigned to Southbridge Savings Bank. The items are similar to authentic bank checks; however, they display a security feature statement embedded in the top border and a padlocks symbol on the right side of the check.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
