Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name GreenBank, Greeneville, Tennessee, are reportedly in circulation

GreenBank, Greeneville, Tennessee, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number064201832, which is assigned to GreenBank. The counterfeit items are similar to authentic cashier's checks; however, they display security feature statements embedded in the top border and along the bottom border between two padlocks.

Authentic cashier's checks display the bank's toll-free telephone number below its name and location in the top-center area of the check.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
