Grant County Bank, Medford, Oklahoma, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Piedmont Bank are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display the routing number 103103765, which is assigned to Grant County Bank. The items also display a security statement just below the top border. The words "CASHIER'S CHECK" appear in the center area. The bank's name ("PIEDMONT BANK"), address and telephone number appear in top-left corner.
Authentic checks display a vertical security statement with a padlock icon in the right border. The bank's logo, name ("GRANT COUNTY BANK") and location appear in the top center. Lines are displayed for "REMITTER," "PAY TO THE ORDER OF," "DATE" and "DOLLARS."
Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
