Mile High Banks, Longmont, Colorado, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display the routing number 102103708, which is assigned to Mile High Banks. The items are similar to authentic cashier's checks; however, the counterfeit items display a security statement below the top border. The counterfeit items also display the notice "TWO SIGNATURES REQUIRED FOR ANY AMOUNT OVER $5,000 USD" in the bottom-center area.
Authentic cashier's checks display a reflective seal in the top-middle area and a heat-sensitive octagon to the right of two signature lines.
Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
