Northwest Savings Bank, Warren, Pennsylvania, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 243374218, which is assigned to Northwest Savings Bank. The items also display the address "22 N MAIN ST" below the bank's name in the top-left corner. A telephone number, which is not associated with the bank, is shown below the words "CASHIER'S CHECK" in the top-center area. Two signature lines and a padlock icon appear in the lower-right corner.

Authentic cashier's checks have a designed border on all four sides. A logo, consisting of the letter "N" inside of a box, is shown to the left of the bank's name in the top-left corner. An indemnity bond statement appears above the signature line on the right side.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Please be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
