Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Bank of Wiggins, Wiggins, Mississippi, are reportedly in circulation

Bank of Wiggins, Wiggins, Mississippi, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 065304673, which is assigned to Bank of Wiggins. A security feature statement is embedded in the top border. The bank's name and address are located in the top-center area.

Authentic cashier's checks are light green and display a small basket-weave safety paper background. The bank's original checks display the bank's name, address and telephone number in the top-center area.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
