Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Grand Bank of Texas, Grand Prairie, Texas, are reportedly in circulation

Grand Bank of Texas, Grand Prairie, Texas, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 111906624, which is assigned to Grand Bank of Texas, and have ornate top and side borders. The words "CASHIER'S CHECK" appear below a lined box in the top center of the items. A heat-sensitive circle with the words "RUB HERE" appears in the top-right corner. A "Memo" line is displayed in the lower-left corner.

Authentic checks have darkened top and bottom borders with security feature statements embedded in each. The words "CASHIER'S CHECK" appear in the lower-left corner. A "NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS" statement appears near the top-right corner.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
