Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Choice Financial, Langdon, North Dakota, are reportedly in circulation

Choice Financial Group, Grafton, North Dakota, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 091302966, which is assigned to Choice Financial Group. The items have ornate borders on all sides with security feature statements embedded within the top and bottom borders.

Authentic cashier's checks have a darkened top border. A security feature statement is displayed below the payee line. A security padlock icon appears at the end of the written dollar amount line.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
