Counterfeit treasurer checks bearing the name East Cambridge Savings Bank are reportedly in circulation

East Cambridge Savings Bank, Cambridge, Massachusetts, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit treasurer checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 211370419, which is assigned to East Cambridge Savings Bank. The items are dissimilar to authentic treasurer checks and display one signature line in the lower-right corner. The word "Reference" is below the word "DATE" on the right side.

Authentic treasurer checks display a security feature statement embedded within a darkened top border. The statement "TWO SIGNATURES REQUIRED OVER $50,000" is below two signature lines in the lower-right corner.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
