Counterfeit official checks bearing the name Stock Yards Bank & Trust, Louisville, Kentucky, are reportedly in circulation

Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, Louisville, Kentucky,has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit official checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number083000564, which is assigned to Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company. The items have a multicolored, patterned background and a security feature statement just below the top border. The words "OFFICIAL CHECK" appear inside a box in the top center. A heat sensor icon appears in the top-right corner.

Authentic checks have ornate borders and display security feature statements embedded within the top and bottom borders. A heat sensor icon appears next to the signature lines in the lower-right corner.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
