Shop At THE GAP?

If you shop at the GAP and use your Citicorp credit card, you will soon be asked to sign a form that appears on a special display screen instead of the usual sales draft.

The screen will automatically translate your signature in digital form that can be electronically stored.

This signature-capture system is an electronic solution to verifying customer signatures. Credit card companies regard signature verification as more reliable and fool-proof than the PINs currently used with ATMs and debit cards.

If the test proves to be cost effective, the security provided will be more than welcomed by the retailers and card issuers.
