Some Advice from the Editor

In the last several weeks, we have heard from several bankers who are concerned because the examiner has found a problem with software the bank is using. The bankers have expressed concern because the vendor of their software seems unwilling to make adjustments to their product. Needless to say, the vendor claims the software is the neatest thing since sliced bread.

If you find yourself in this situation, remember that you are the customer. For once, the bank is on the right side of the equation! The basic rule in sales is: if the software vendor won't do it, you won't buy it. That usually gets action. Don't sit back and take it on the chin!
