Reading the Fine Print: Via Credit Card?

Chase Manhattan gets the award for the latest innovative approach to convenience marketing of credit cards. They are offering a credit card that doubles as a magnifying glass, making it easy to read restaurant receipts, credit card bills and other fine print.

The Chase LensCard has a built-in magnifying glass about an inch by inch in one corner of the card. The company said its research showed that consumers in the 30- to 64-year-old age range were "quite interested" in a card that serves the dual functions of payment and a tool they can carry with them to read small print.

The card's lens is high quality resolution that magnifies print three and a half times its existing size.
