A Very "Fair" Way to Hire
Potential job candidates in the Midwest could pick up job leads this past summer on their way to the roller coaster ride. Bank One, which has a major presence in the area, rolled out a mobile recruiting center in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Besides college campuses, the bank visited local festivals and state fairs in June, July and August.
Job seekers could pick up position descriptions, fill out job interest profiles and talk to recruiters on the spot.

Banks Winning Web Site Awards
Apparently, banks are no slouches when it comes to developing good Web pages. Just half of the web pages that made it to the finals belonged to banks. The twenty-eight banks were among the finalists for new awards being presented for outstanding Web sites at mid-size companies. The award program is co-sponsored by AT&T and the National Association of Manufacturers.
21 percent of the community bank sites studied offered on-line banking and 52 percent had Y2K readiness statements.
