What Do Other Bankers Do?

We're used to seeing automated teller machines in super markets, convenience stores, in malls, attached to financial institutions, freestanding in the countryside and will be seeing more of them in U.S. Post Offices.

In a move to make ATMs even more convenient and accessible, if you live in Texas you'll soon be able to fill your wallet while you fill your vehicle's gas tank!

Bank One Texas, in an innovative move, is placing 350 ATM's in gas stations in Texas.

The Texas institution will have its logo on the signs of the Diamond Shamrock stations. And will provide cash-vault services to each site.

Most of the gas stations already have small convenience stores in them, which is where the ATM will be installed.

Bank One Texas also plans to charge a transaction fee for use of the ATM, and so boost earnings.

Does it make you wonder where an ATM will turn up next? If you know of an unusual spot, let us know!
