Same-day Settlement A Security Problem Too

Security and compliance officers need to work together implementing the new Same-Day Settlement rule that went into effect on January 3, 1994. More direct check presentment means more access at doors that are ordinarily locked. Clearing house relationships are often created without consideration of the security problems. Communication is important between functions and officers in this area.
