Refinancing Boom To Continue: Lot of Life Left, Say Experts
Several economists and market experts were interviewed by The American Banker in late November, and they all predicted the continuation of the refinancing boom of 2001 will last well into the first half of 2002 and will aid an economic recovery.They pointed out that mortgage rates remain below 7%, according to Freddie Mac's weekly survey on November 28. And that there are "...still plenty of people out there sitting on 8.5% money."
