CTRs and Y2K

Yes - there is a new CTR. Fortunately, the changes are editorial in nature. The most significant change makes the form Y2K compliant. The new form provides space to enter all four digits for the year. No more abbreviations that may jump us back to the beginning of the century!

The new form is in effect immediately. Get copies free from the IRS Forms Distribution Center at (800) 829-3676. If you are on the Internet, you can download it from the FinCEN site.
