New MFI Numbers

HUD's median family income figures are posted on the regulatory agencies' web sites. The numbers range from highs such as the Washington D.C. area's $84,800 to much lower numbers such as $12,963 in Aguadilla, PR. The charts show the median family income for the 2000 census and HUD's estimated figures for 2003.

You may also find useful income information on web sites posted by your local governments. That will be where you can find information on city, town, and county areas, giving you more specific numbers than for the entire MSA. Using cities or towns as subsets of MSA information may be useful in supporting your explanation of why CRA efforts are directed to certain parts of your MSA.
