CERT Warns of Critical Vulnerabilty in Apache Web Server
The Computer Emergency Response Team's (CERT) Co-ordination Center warned of a critical vulnerability in the Apache's handling of HTTP 1.1 chunk-encoded data.The vulnerability affects millions of websites, leaving them vulnerable to attack by remote hackers.The vulnerability impacts both Windows and Unix servers running Apache, one of the most widely used web server software.

CERT warned that depending on a variety of factors, the vulnerability may lead to a denial of service attack against the Apache web server.Web Administrators are urged to check with their manufacturer for an appropriate patch.
