i'm sorry, but i have no idea why fox would even run this as "news". this story is the equivalent of me walking out of the bathroom with my fly down and realizing this on the way back down the hallway.

Duh, the significance is that if the dopey court could make such an egregious error to begin with, it can do it again with the possibility that common sense will not prevail. So by making news of it, the possibility that common sense will not prevail in the future is lessened.

although the appellate precedent may keep it from happening again...

Ron, I think the fact that they found the victim's consumption of alcohol to be a contributing factor in the rape is what's so frustrating. Yes, it was overturned. But for that brief time before being overturned, it sent a message that indicated rape victims can be held accountable for being raped if they willingly accepted alcoholic beverages that, unknown to them, have been spiked. So, yeah, it's not really "news" anymore but represents a ruling that prior to being overturned set a precident that could further victimize rape victims.






As for the story you mentioned, I thought that happened every day at your office. So, it's just Normal Ron. Just saying...

Hmmm, so Ron once called me insensitive to women because I support the right to life of the unborn. However, in this thread, I wonder what women would not see the insensitivity of Ron thinking that this rape case and the interim absurd result of the court ruling is not worthy of news, just no big deal.

Real sensitive of you toward women Ron, I am sure they much appreciate it. You must be a real winner with the ladies.

And this alone should point out the thoughtfulness and sensitivity of Ron toward women. I hope you never receive the experience of empathy by this happening to your daughter, wife, or sister.
