Ok, I just read that she turned down the offer from Angels. We need to change her name to Octomoron! Not only should the hospital not release those children to her, they should take away the other 6.

Her parents seem to be just as crazy as she is. They say she nuts, but they enable her to live out her fantasies as an incubator.

She admitted To Dr Phil that she made a mistake in having these 8 babies.
It was also stated that she was planning on staying in the house and saving it from foreclosure.
The house has to meet some requirements before she is allowed to bring them home.
She is allowed to have 4 cribs and have 2 babies in each crib.

A home where the children are safe, they receive the attention and love that a child needs. The opportunity to be one and have their own individuality. A chance to succeed.

We're using standard definitions of terms here, guys, so launch that debate elsewhere. As the originator of this thread, I'd like to keep this on topic without getting into huge side issues. I think we can all agree that given her current standings, the octuplets mother is in no way able to care for all 14 of her children either physically or financially. By denying her circumstances and refusing help, she's forcing the state to step in. As anyone who's even babysat one full term infant can tell you, proper care is more than four new cribs.

I just dont see how 1 or 3 people can take care of 14 kids under the age of 7. Someone needs to step in for the sake of those children.

911 Tape: Octuplet Mom Threatens to Kill Herself After Son Disappears

Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman became unhinged with fear last year when she thought she had lost one of her children, repeatedly telling an emergency dispatcher, "Oh God, I'm going to kill myself," according to a recording of her 911 call released Wednesday by police.

Suleman made the call Oct. 27 after her 5-year-old son disappeared from the front yard, only to find him a few minutes later after he returned from a walk.

Suleman's repeated threats of suicide prompted a chiding from the dispatcher, who could hear children's voices in the background.

"Don't say that in front of your other child, OK?" the dispatcher tells Suleman. "Keep yourself under control for your other child; he doesn't need to hear that."

Suleman defended the call in an interview with RadarOnline.com, saying she was hormonal because she was pregnant with the octuplets and doesn't remember threatening to kill herself. She also didn't know the call had been made public.

Suleman, an unemployed single mother, has come under scrutiny since giving birth to octuplets Jan. 26 when she already had six other children, ages 2 to 7. Talk show hosts, celebrities and others have weighed in on the topic, with some questioning her ability to look after 14 children.

The dramatic call Suleman made three months before the octuplets' birth resulted in a police visit to her home in Whittier, about 15 miles east of Los Angeles. It was among a number of visits authorities have made to the house in the last 14 months.

The 911 tape begins with Suleman repeatedly asking the operator, "Where's my son?" before she provides an address or any information. She eventually tells the operator she hadn't seen Joshua Jacob for an hour and he had been playing in the front yard, and she feared he was kidnapped.

The call ended with Suleman sobbing hysterically upon finding the child, saying, "He went on a walk and came back by himself."

Police and the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services visited Suleman's home in July in response to a complaint that the children appeared poorly cared for, but both agencies determined the complaint was unfounded.

Suleman, in the RadarOnline.com interview, said the neighbor who alerted police was unhappy because her family was loud and she allowed her children to play in the mud.

I heard the actual recording of the 911 call - the woman is wacko, for sure.

I don't think she's wacko. And I certainly don't think the 911 call proves anything like that. She got hysterical when she couldn't find her child. Actually, I give her credit for calling 911 as soon as she noticed the child missing.

I remember being extrememly emotional when I was pregnant. Yes she went overboard, but given her circumstances, I can't say I wouldn't be walking around in an emotional daze too.

There are plenty of other reasons to debate her ability to care for any or all of her children.

I am not saying she is wacko based only on the 911 call. Look at the totality of her life and her decisions. If the 911 call was the only fact I knew about this woman, I would not have this opinion.

She lied to the boyfriend about ovarian cancer in order to get his sample. She claimed to have a back injury and yet was able to carry 6 pregnancies. She deliberately got herself pregnant numerous times with no means of supporting herself or her children. She says she wants to be a counselor - who in blazes wants to be counseled by her? There is no evidence of any rational decision-making on her part. She has obviously had cosmetic surgery during all this. Now apparently she is willing to sell the video of the birth of the octuplets. She turned down the offer of assistance from the Angels group. She has no plans for any of the children- the first 6 or the new 8 - as to where they will live or how they will be supported.

She is living in a fantasy world of her own creation, where she thinks people will fall all over themselves and shower her with fame and fortune. She needs a psychotherapist, desperately.

Ok...when you put it that way...she's wacko.
