I just finished "Multiple Bles8ings: Surviving and Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets" by Jon & Kate Gosselin. I am a fan of their show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8," so I found it very interesting to learn more about their family and some of the challenges they have faced.

Agreed! I am in the middle of Back Spin and am really enjoying it. It is probably about the 10th book of his I have read. None of them are exactly challenging reads but they are a really nice distraction.

Reading Swine Not? by Jimmy Buffett right now and actually pretty good. Nothing earth shattering but a good, light read over my lunch hour.

I read because it is quiet, no noise no voices, other than the usual ones in my head... wink

Someone gave me a copy of Memoir of a Geisha. I know it's old, but is it a good read?

Anybody read Eragon by Christopher Paolini (sp?)? I have someone trying to talk me into reading this series but I'm not convinced yet.

I read Eragon and Eldest, currently have Brisingr on my LR table.

My son read all 3, he loved them. I enjoyed the first 2 a lot and was impressed that such a young writer could pull off a trilogy.

I also have read it and really liked it. It's long but doesn't feel long.

Definitely read them! They don't 'feel' like YA books, and even thought they are considered high fantasy they are easy to get into. I loved them and can't wait 'til the 4th one comes out!

You should see the college freshman history textbook my daughter brought home. It's in a magazine format. It has flexible pages, and the layout is just like a magazine (without the ads). And it costs $65.

It's supposed to be the "new" way of teaching, but it just seems so disposable to me. And a little confusing since the format seems to encourage skipping around. I hope it works.
