I was shocked at Nicole's gain as well, but a total of 3 of them gained this week. Ron's was understandable but I want him to go home. I like Mike a lot and he had another great week. Tara seems back on track going over the 100 pound mark. The game play is starting in earnest now. I have liked this season because of the lack of game play but this is a game and the finals are not that far off.

I thought Michelle did a better job as the host than Ali.

Did anyone watch the last part of the show last night? I went to bed so I didn't see who Laura decided to send home.

I didn't see the very end. Stratigically, she sent home the right person. Sione would have been more competition than Helen. It seems like the more you have to lose the higher your numbers and percentages.

that is true, and I was shocked that she lost that much weight, I think tara helped herself by having a low week this week because she should be ready for a big one next week. I really like tara, she has more drive than anyone else there.

I just want Ron to go home. He's so sure that he's running things. If he goes below the yellow line again, everyone better take the opportunity to vote for him then. How does he keep posting bigger numbers than everyone else? He must work out in the pool a lot and it not be aired.

idk when the finale is, but i listened to a radio interview that jillian did, and she's not shy about saying how much she hated this seasons contestants and how miserable she was. she said she liked mike and kristen.

I heart Kristen... she is a hrd worker, and she gets it!

it made me mad that laura didn't step up and say - send me home. it would have been the right thing to do. she knew she needed medical attention, but she went the selfish route and made everyone else pity her.

Agree totally. I would have been scared to death that I'd really hurt myself. She probably would have been below the yellow line each week had she stayed.

I agree about Laura, she should have told everyone to send her home since she was injured. It was sad for her though as she was really just starting to hit her stride and believe in herself. It was good in the follow up that she hadn't gained any weight despite having to limit her activity.

I really like Mike and Kristen, Tara is a machine and probably will win. The finale will be probably first part of May during sweeps week. I always like the finale to see how everyone has done.

I also agree with the comment about Bob, maybe he needs a break. I have never heard him swear so much as this season and it is annoying.

actually i have heard Jillian is tired of doing this, it is very draining. When they are not doing one here, they are doing one in austrailia

My understanding was that Jillian and Bob started the training in Oz, but the show kept adding trainers until they were able to allow Jill and Bob to bow out this year. (I think last season -2008 - was their last in Australia)

As far as trainers, do you guys remember Kim? (Kim Lyons) She was a trainer on a couple of seasons, and she is still a possibility for future shows.

Last night's show:
I loved how Tara fell off the rope, struggled, finally managed to get back on and then flew to the finish line! It was great. (I was beginning to get tired of the Sione/Filipe egos...so I was kind of glad Sione left last week.)

Elimination:
I agree with a couple of you above - Laura should have volunteered to be voted off so she could get home, get add'l medical attention, and not get worse. I thought it kind of crazy that the producers let her stay in the first place. . . . And,um...it's time for Ron to go... (and he does look way better without that beard)

Winner:
I think Tara should win..she has really worked for it. They have all worked hard, but she seems to have done exceptionally well. [Her young age (~24) hasn't hurt either.]
And Kristin Steede should get some kind of award. She is a really great player...works hard, keeps a good attitude, encourages others, and really puts thought into her choices and words. She still has a way to go to get to her goal, but I'm sure she'll get there...maybe not by finale day, but eventually.

kristen lost a lot of point, IMO, last night by going out on that note. she didn't have to be so snotty to mike. (and OMGoat, why???????????????????????? did she add the stripes back to her hair??????? i know they aren't as bad, but still....)

anyhoo.... and why were tara and filipe all cranky at mike for saying he's gonna win??? they think the same thing, only they don't have the rocks to say it out loud. good for him for saying it. ali said it a few seasons ago and she won. it could very well work for him this season.

I was in the middle of a family "crisis" last night and missed the end of the show. A lot of drama, huh?

I'm glad Helen got to stay.

it wasn't a lot of drama, but kristen got all snotty and said mike took the cowards way out and that if she stayed, he would have to work harder and he didn't want to do that... blah blah blah...
