Totally agree with your assessment, DD. I do like Scott for his personal strength but he has lost my interest. I was disappointed with Danny - he is usually one of my favorites but not last night. This was the second time one of them has been on the "island" - Matt did it before and bombed - it's not a good place for them. That being said, I still do like Kris - I would listen to his music (it helps that he is cute as the dickens too!) So so tired of Lil. She was bad karoake last night right down to her toes. Anoop is boring. Allison is Extremely talented - she will be one of the stars like Daughtry if she doesn't make it to the end. Matt is sometimes good but not consistently good throughout the song. Adam can be a little irritating to watch but man, that boy can sing!! He is truly unique and though I didn't even recognize that song as ever hearing it before, I loved his performance. Perfection!!

I just don't understand why Lil is not listening to the judges. I didn't like the fact that she tried to "act" like Tina Turner and dance like her - she does have a good voice - I just wish she would be original.

Lil and Scott need to be the next two to go. Lil isn't doing a good job of owning songs and Scott just isn't in the same league as Allison, Adam or Matt. And I know Scott is blind, but he can't connect with people, he just stares off in the distance.

Danny - Didn't like the arrangement, but it got better at the end. Despite the arrangement, he sang it well. I don't know why he sang a song from his birth year that was actually originally recorded about 20 years before his birth. I think something more contemporary would have been better. It did prove to be one of the best of the night.

Kris - Not a good choice. Just a so-so arrangement. He still sings well.

Lil - I don't think that it is that she just doesn't get it. I think it is that she doesn't get it and she isn't that good. The choruses always sound good, but the rest of the songs are usually not very good.

Anoop - Just average.

Scott - The guitar playing was not very good and didn't fit the song. He was just so-so.

Allison - She is very good. Not her best effort, but solid.

Matt - Not bad at all. He redeemed himself. I am a big fan of S. Wonder circa 1970s, but not a big fan of his 1980s output, but Matt did a good job.

Adam - That is a great song in the hands of the right person. Tears for Fears version is great. Gary Jules version for the Donnie Darko soundtrack is great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N3N1MlvVc4 I've heard a speeded up version that takes all the passion out of the song. A local Austin female singer, Sarah Hickman, did a version I did not care for. Like Dave Cook, who borrowed many of his "original" arrangements, Adam borrowed most of his moody rendition. Adam's was very much like Gary Jules' version. Very good, one of the best of the night, but not worthy of a standing O.

Bottom line: Lil has to go. She just can't cut if vocally or in picking and arranging songs. She'll make a good backup singer for someone.

YAY! The voters got it right last night. Scott has been a great story, and I believe he will get to go further with his music, someone somewhere will pick him up.

Totally agree, DD!! I'm glad the judges did not use the save - it would have been a waste of time. He would just be voted off next week. There are only a few I would use the save on personally - after all, they need to weed it down anyway and someone has to go home. They should keep their one save for possibly Allison, Danny or Adam. I think they will be the top three.

They are holding the save just in case Paula get voted out.

I can't stand Paula, she needs to go back to whatever asylum she escaped from. I t wouldn't be so bad if she could make a coherant and full remark on a performance. Instead it's "you are so great, I like peanut butter."

I agree, MaxXx--time for Lil to go. I was disappointed in Matt last night, and last week as well. I also didn't think Allison was as good last night as she has been.

I am just blown away by Adam's vocal range, performing ability, and overall talent every time he sings. Not my kind of music at all--I'm a country girl--but he just "wow's" me every time he performs.
