Oh, Elliot Yamin's second CD dropped this month, and it is FANTASTIC!

I'm really interested to hear this band....

Evanescence was a great bad with the old singer, Amy Lee. They were sort of dark rock and roll, but her voice was very sweet and angelic. The difference clashed, but in a good way.

I think Carly is a good choice as a replacement.

I never saw Evanescense live, but I did hear recordings.. I thought it was terrible. Always sounded to me like Amy Lee was nothing but drama, too. Maybe Carly will do some good for 'em. (I always thought Carly was great!)

It depends on what you read. One day she had a contact for life and was so happy. Now it's the other way around and she isn't coming back.

I probably don't care one way or the other. Some nights I cringed when she started talking about the person that just got done singing.

I heard that Simon says she'll be back, he wants her back, and she'll be back.

Sounds like a publicity stunt.

P.B. has it. It's a way to get FOX to pitch in more money during contract negotiations- it gives them a sense of what the public attitude is towards the judges. Simon has also been doing it quietly for months now, all the articles about him "leaving the show." Yeah right. He's a businessman, and knows that this is raising his profile.

It's always fun to play the "How hammered is Paula" game during the show. I would definitely miss that.
