Our cycle to mail the annual privacy notice is the first of each year, thus we are addressing the use of the new form now. Just curious - is anyone else implementing this new notice now? Are any of you NOT going to use the new notice?

Our annual mailing was in July. We started using the new model form at that time for the annual mailing and for subsequent new accounts.

<<<<---not changing. Keeping old simple form at blessing of FRB.

We will be reviewing a mocked up version of the model for our shop at this month's compliance committee and compare it to our current notice.

I have a feeling we will be using the model form, just to ensure our examiners have one less thing to quibble over and knock us for.

They (FRB) kinda insinuated to me they really hoped FI's that didn't share, wouldn't change...the old forms are so much cleaner. laugh

That's what we did, too.

We used the new form for new accounts and our annual mailing as soon as DepositPro made it available in September.

Maybe they should have spoken up louder during the design stage. smirk

I don't have any real problem with the new format for those FI's and other institutions that do share, but for those of us who don't...it just makes it more cumbersome, not to mention a waste of trees.
