Hello,

I'm trying to determine when it became required for lenders to check delinquent borrowers in the DMDC website as part of the foreclosure process. I know it's the creditor's responsibility to verify that the borrower isn't a servicemember per section 533 of the SCRA. When did this take effect?
Thanks for your help!

It isn't required that you use that site, that site just happens to be the best resource for verification that is readily available.

As to when it became the standard, you might get an idea looking in these threads to see when it was first mentioned. It first hit my radar screen in early 2005.
