I'm actually going without my padded butt shorts tonight at the duathlon. It's going to be a fairly equal amount of time running and riding...I hate running with diaper butt.

Hahaha, I felt liek I was wearing a super-mega-maxi pad!!! Y'all say it will toughen up, but i been doing it once a week for two months now...

I looked at bikes this weekend......
then I bought another pair of running shoes.
$100 shoes are really cheap, comparatively speaking!

Two hours away, not too bad. But...it's the weekend before the wedding. Is it worth the potential risk of injury/scraping up my face, knowing that if I show up to the wedding with a cast on, she'll kill me??

she will not kill you. Remember at a wedding the guy is an accessory (like a purse). Could you imagine her destroying her purse (even if it has a few scratches) prior to the wedding?

If it was supposed to be perfect and it wasn't? Yeah, I can see her going into a fit of rage and tearing it apart.

I was pretty sad when I saw the date for it, first one in the state. Knew I wouldn't be doing it.

That stinks. I'd like to say "Go for it!" but my inner bride (she's in there somewhere I swear!) says don't push it. Stress levels will already be sky high that last week.

Yeah, I won't mess with it. She was bad enough before the last race and then she was just worried about me making it to her graduation ceremony.

You're only chance would be if you could talk her into a mud based ceremony where she wears a bridal gown into the mud and you wear a kilt and you both crawl to the preacher while you repeat the vows......

Maybe next year would be a better choice.

Color run in October, how about that instead?? I'm not sure I could talk her into that either, but it'd be fun to do one! I know BBB's a fan.

Doing a color run in July!! The daughter and I are doing it!
So are some other friends. They are a fun way to bring in none runnner type persons.
But I would make sure that the wedding is your primary focus of attention. Brides are just funny about that.....

I'm doing a color run in the fall. That would be awesome to run through there with a white wedding dress

I know some that are thinking of doing it already, so who knows. Apparently they book up fast, or are expected to, so I don't know if I'll be decisive enough to make it happen in time or not.

I wonder if I work hard enough, if I could fit into my wedding dress for the color run in NY in August... That would be Hysterical! Bringing my (younger) daughter along for the run, too, even though it will be some slow going.
