BurntSienna,

If you are interested, I can send you a 40-day 'conversion' plan that gets you set up to adopt whatever eating style or approach you want to use. It's designed to replace some bad or careless habits with better ones.

I used it so that by the end of the 40 days I could synch up my diet with my training schedule (it's a long boring story, but my diet varies with the intensity of my training)

While I didn't bust out push-ups at the conference in Arizona, I did have pleasant running weather - a little over 20 miles in 3 days. It felt really good to be off the treadmill.

Awesome! It's always fun to run in an entirely different place than you're used to, especially if it allows you to get outside.

Was a good day to hit 60, hope everyone is still feeling great about what they've accomplished!

I'm still trying to figure out how my out and back route was up hill both ways... confused Oh, and the sidewalks in parts of Scottsdale are kinda cobblestone and my lower legs did not like that part of the run very much.

Somehow they kept me so busy that I didn't even get all the pushups in. Fighting a badly clogged sinus cavity on Sunday/Monday gave me one of those headache/toothache combos that really suck. By Tuesday, it was much better, but I checked out pretty early since we had a flight out after the conference.

I really don't want to watch the video, don't want to know if I was as bad as my inner critic says I was, and really hope that somebody gets some use out of our presentation. After finally dodging the storms in KS, diverting to St Louis to refuel, bouncing back to KC, and getting home at 2 A.M.? I may decide that Leap Day means Don't Do Pushups and just try to make it to the 5:30 Zumba class. Or pass out cold under my desk. That seems like a pretty good plan right now.

Pure talent on your part. It looked pretty flat to me.

I actually stayed about 4 miles down the road from the resort where the conference was held. I was more in Old Town Scottsdale. I ran up the hill to the conference resort and back every evening.

Oh, back on the pushup wagon. I did 5 sets this morning (12, 16, 12, 12, 12) for a total of 64 and added another set of 12 at lunch for a total of 76. Does it count for more if you do them in a shirt and tie? smile

The tie counts for more if your hand is on it.
But you'll eventually pass out.... dont bother trying.

Question for my weight training BOLers - Does it make a difference if you do a circuit with multiple (2-3) sets or if you do I set and just push yourself until you can't do anymore?

When I met with a personal trainer, he gave me 3 mini circuits to do and told me to do a set for each activity and then repeat for a total of 2-3 reps before moving to the next mini circuit. I've been doing that. However, last night I was bored with the routine so I did one set of each activity and just pushed myself until I couldn't do the task anymore. I was more tired last night and the muscles were burning when I left the gym. I normally don't get that with the circuits and multiple reps.
