Wow, go Pup go!!

I rode to work today.

The bike path is under construction though and it made it a challenge to get around all of that. Still, a loverly morning for a ride.

So you were doing all kinds of tricks and jumps through it? Ollies and whatever bike tricks are called, I have no idea.

Yep, that was me.

Ummmmmmm, no. That's a bit too far for me.

However, if you'd like to take a daytrip to Le Mars, I'd be happy to treat you to a pizza and a beer.

My plan is to ride a quick 10 or 20 upon arrival, if I'm not completely beat, depending on the time. We are leaving after work on Friday and driving through, so we should arrive around 5 or 6. If I can stay awake until daylight arrives, I'll be riding immediately.

Then, I would like to ride to Sioux City by squaring off the route, and that would end of being around 30.

The long ride would be to Vermillion, South Dakota for about 43 miles.

Also, my little brother's acreage is about 10 miles from my mom's, so I plan on riding that a couple times, depending on the schedule.

I have Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to do this. Cooler temps and calmer winds should help A LOT. Wish me luck.

5 hours? I could make it to Chicago in less time than that!

The drive home yesterday was brutal!

I am here and I am alive. Time was much slower than I would have liked but I wanted to stay with my group and we had a couple people who could not go very fast. Had one in our group sprain her ankle pretty good on one of the obstacles about a mile into the race.

Thankfully the race was at Afton Alps, a ski hill near Hastings, MN. To clean off the mud, they had 2 snow making machines spraying water on the participants. 2 times through there and a shower later and the mud was mostly off. Didn't feel fully clean until after my shower this morning.

Awesome job PP, be glad you got through it and next time will be an improvement! Tough break for your teammate, especially so early on. Watching your footing can be one of the hardest things in these I think.

Just saw an advertisement for a local one that's a similar set-up coming up in August. Of course it's the one Saturday that I'm working for the month...but I might have to see if I can get the day off!
