Why not? Everybody's invited! Should be a rip-roarin' good time, particularly Saturday night after the race (assuming any injuries are not incapacitating). Too bad they have a spectator's fee at the event, but somehow, we'll manage.

We're planning on the mudder in texas.....dear lord help us! LOL
I do cheat a little before obstacle races....I take exedrine migraine (aspirin and caffeine) and creatine.
Aspirin is a vasodialator, caffiene without a belly full of coffee and the resultant bladder issues at mile 6 and creatine allows the muscle depletion of ATP to be delayed.
Every little bit helps! smile

Good tips, I'm making note of them! I need all the help I can get if I want to finish top 5% and qualify for the World's Toughest Mudder! 24 hours of pure insanity, in December, sounds like the greatest idea ever!

But no, actually I'd be very happy to finish top 1/3rd, and still pretty satisfied if in the top 50%.

I have noticed that if I don't eat the night before, I'm lighter and MUCH weaker in the morning.

Ironically, eating a full meal after midnight helped me to sets of 12, 11, and 9 this morning. wink

I'll add that the Ham Melt from Ihop was delicious. smile

Running and riding everywhere ...
I managed my 12 this morning in one set, still on my toes. I'm determined to make it to 20 now before I break them up.

I skipped the planks and crunches...I'm sure the PT will have some appropriate form of torture for me later today.

You'll have it no time! I've seen you do more than 20, you'll beat that!
Tell Karen hi and enjoy the torture! smile

Nice! 12 has been the best I've done in a set without really killing myself, so the next few days will be a real test for me.

Sweetness! I have a weight loss goal set for the year and am hoping to see real results as I document my monthly weight and "during" pictures. My beginning weight was 217. I was at 214 this morning after eating a post-midnight meal. My metabolism is kickin' it right now, so we'll see how well this goes.

I was 183 for many years before I jumped all the way to 217 over the course of about the last 3 years (the time that I've had the pool hall, basically). My target weight is 175, but I am content with a healthier body so the weight loss is secondary. smile

Marriage = weight gain. laugh

Really though, you spend way too much time working and not enough time outside playing. You all need to figure out a way to balance work and play.

Its quite enjoyable to shake what yo mama gave ya. Just give yourself time with it, takes about 2 or 3 classes before you can really get the routines and understand the moves.

Its like the advice I give for people interested in snowboarding...if you try, make sure you try it twice. The first time always sucks but the second time is ALWAYS significantly better. And I do mean significantly.

I've done one class and it was a hoot! If the second one is more fun than that, somebody will make me leave! smile
