I did a 10k run one time that had 5k walkers as well. We were near the finish when I came up behind a group of 4 girls walking side by side taking up the entire one lane dirt road, oblivious to the fact that I was behind them. They apparently had no clue what "On your left" meant. I wedged my sweaty self between them and got dirty looks, but I did finish second in my age group  It kills me the people who either walk down the middle of the side walk or who walk side by side down the side walk and refuse to give me room to run past. It's one thing if I run up behind them, but some of them walking towards me do the same thing.

I always announce "on your left". I get slightly annoyed when running, but down right pissy when on the bike.

I know stepping into the grass is tough, but it's a lot less dangerous when walking then running. If I break an ankle because you're an inconsiderate jack rabbit, I'm going to hobble up to you and shake my sweat-soaked hair all up in your face! Hopefully they instruct walkers to stay in the back and put the runners up front, but that still puts a lot of those that are just running in the way of the rest of us. Oh well I guess. I'm running with people that don't run, so I might as well not worry about my starting placement.

I hope so! That would add a totally different level of difficulty (hilarity) if all 4 people were bungee-corded together! I'm going to suggest that.

I love it when you try to warn someone you are coming up behind them and they have their earbuds in. I always buzz by extra close just to scare the carp out of them.
Then there's the people with their dogs on a 20 foot leash that have no control over them. I almost punted a little white fur ball dog the other night that came charging at my ankle.

Oh I've got my rant on long leashes/uncontrolled pets too.
Basically just a lack of consideration for other people in general. But that applies on any sidewalk, road, public restroom, eating establishment, etc., etc.
I always have my headphones on, but always low enough to hear what's around me and greet people on the trails. The other night it was so freaking windy, even at full blast I could hardly hear my CCR! Nobody else was out, so I was fine having it all the way up.

Ok, I think I may have reached my upper limit on pushups. I did half of them this morning in two sets, and my arms and shoulders feel like painful blocks of wood hanging by my sides. Typing hurts. I may not be able to do the other half tonight. Unless you people can motivate me... (hint, hint).

The website isn't working (or we have it blocked for some unknown and very strange reason), but the annual Tour de Meers cycling event is being held here Saturday, May 26.
I will be riding, possibly in a group, but I don't know the distance yet. Options are 10, 22, 30, 57 and 62 miles through the "mountains" (big, spiky hills) and through the wildlife refuge here.
If anyone wants to join me, let me know.
If not, wish me luck.

Also, 120 pound tires are a complete joke. I think I could have used it as a hoola-hoop and sprinted down the lane with it! If anything, it was harder to control because it wanted to wobble and roll all over the dang place!
