Good job, Pup, 50 miles is nothing to sneeze at, wow!  Even though it didn't go perfectly, I bet you learned a lot. Yep. Consistent pacing is key. The next ride that I know of is at the end of July and is a 50 miler called "The Dehydrator". I'll be trying to get ready for that one. Hopefully, I'll have one or two more before then that I can ride. We'll see.

Did 9.8 with Jen at the lake while she was in town, and despite the heat (91 or 92, depending on whose thermometer you believe) she made me stretch it out! Thanks for the chance to break in the new shoes!

Finished in 1:10:13!!! I'm proud of that time as that is pretty much my pre-injury pace from a few months ago. I'm still a bit stiff, but we'll let my PT deal with that this week and I've learned a few things with this race that I'd need to work on if I commit to the Brewer Mini (half) in September. Is this the same "Summerfest" thing that the Foo Fighters are going to be at Thursday? Yup. The Rock n Sole kicks off Summerfest, which starts on Wednesday. My 5 year old wants to go see Fun. Would I be a good parent or a bad parent if I took my 5 year old to Summerfest on Friday for a 10pm concert of one of her favorite bands at the Miller stage and didn't bring her home until after midnight?

I hope it was not recovered water, a lot of golf courses do that...  LOL! No, they have coolers at all the tee boxes with disposable cups. Its potable.

Thanks for the encouragement. It is supposed to be in the low 90s tomorrow so I am thankful that my race time is 10am. Sooo looking forward to that beer afterward. You are right Matt it will taste especially good.
