I had to actually scrape my windows before I came to work. Unacceptable! But, first hard freeze, so the bugs should be pretty much gone and all the allergy sufferers will be in better moods, so that's always nice.

I didn't button my coat or put on gloves so I'm still tough. ::flex and pose::

Got a picture from a friend that lives in Canada this morning. Her car was frozen shut. Cold is relative....

I might need new lens prescriptions....at first i thought that^^^ said "Her cat was frozen shut."

My friend once hit a hawk perfectly with the grill of his pickup so that the hawk looked like an ornament.....wings spread, head nobly cast slightly downward.....he left it that way for about a year.

I hit a bat once. Thought was dead and spread out on the grill. Went to get it off....

It's going to freeze here Friday morning, so I have to go out tonight and pick anything out in the garden that looks edible. I know there are some bell, jalapeno and poblano pepper, and maybe a tomato or two.

I also have a bushel or two of green tomatoes.

Also, after more than 3 hours, I asked my boss to send sniffles home. It's a miracle I can even think of food.

EW. We have a chronic "snorter" here, which wouldn't be so bad, except that this person does it mid-sentence. Then, GULP.

Every supervisor in the company is in a meeting from 2-5 and I feel like I need to take advantage of that to issue some edicts from the CEO's desk, and/or set up a slip and slide in a back hallway. Maybe find a way to sled down the main stairs that go into the lobby??

It is such a gorgeous day! 60's and 70's all day, light breeze, supposed to be in the 40's tonight - 30's tomorrow night.... Love this cooler weather!

Those are the times you want to do the "Home Alone" run around the department.

Well, my "department" is my cube, so it would be a pretty short run! I could loop around upstairs, but the executive assistant would yell at me and/or trip me with her cane, so I probably shouldn't do that.

It's 41 out currently, today's high. Most of the windows at home are open, it should be pretty darn nice in there when I get back!

BTW, Jimmy Buffett will be performing tomorrow and Central Avenue will be closed down for a beach party. Dumptrucks full of beach sand will deposit the sand on the closed street. Food vendors will join the existing restaurants to keep the party fed, while Landshark Lager and Margaritaville Tequila keep people coming.

WE had frost here on the cars this morning, not fun! I am afraid our warmer days in Michigan are over!

My retired horse was shivering a little bit this morning. It was only about 50!!! Time to break out the blankets, I guess. I am SO not ready for winter.
