Original wanted to become an attorney then decided the years of schooling were more than I wanted to take on. Then switched to Elementary Education, but decided to get married and have a child, so quite college altogether and went into banking. Thank goodness for that little detour because I don't have the patience to teach small children! But since I'm dealing with regulations now anyway, it really kinda worked out for what I originally thought I'd end up doing!

Doubled: Psychology and Sociology; Minor in social work
ETA: after I gave up on engineering
Similar path to mine... I started in Engineering, but then switched to Industrial/Organizational Psych b/c I would of had to transfer schools to finish an Engineering degree. Minored in Safety.

I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Fisheies Management, hence my Avatar. No jobs in that field in the 80s due many political reasons, so I became a Chemist for 17 years before I got into the banking business.

BA in Psych. Needed a job after college and landed in a mortgage company. Psych degree served me well in that environment.

I use my skills of teaching young children quite often in this business so my education wasn't "wasted".
Yep - that Animal Science degree has provided me with superior skills for scooping poo and managing dumb animals. That ties seamlessly into banking compliance.

BA in Social Studies with an emphasis in American History. The plan was to receive a secondary education certification but nixed that idea after my practicum at the junior high school. Thought about law school but decided that I needed to work a while first. Seventeen years later I'm still here...
