I'm not reading this, but my wife and I are pretty excited for the author. It's called The Life That Chose Us, and it's written by a teacher who has Tourette Syndrome. She's been a high school teacher for about 10 years, and during that time, has earned her PhD, written this book, and also taught college classes. I think she's been a great example to her students and peers of how to triumph in spite of an awkward condition. She's a co-worker and friend of my wife's and a wonderful person.

It is also out, yes. I have a special pre-release version that I haven't read yet, I need to get to work on that once I get some free time! Since I have it in electronic format and have no e-reader, it's either print it out or read it on my monitor!

Or get the kindle app on your iPhone................

I started it last night smile

And are you going to pay for my carpal tunnel surgeries after the Eleventybillion times I have to scroll down to read the text, or the glasses it'll force me into from staring at little tiny print for hours on end??

I'll wait for the audiobook version before I do that!

Bigger font just means more scrolling though, at least that's what logic tells me. Plus, how can I play Candy Crush if I'm reading a book on my phone?? laugh

I keep clicking links on Facebook and stuff that tell me I can win a free iPad, it hasn't worked yet. frown

"Crashed" by Timothy Hallinan - so much fun! And only $3.74 for the Kindle right now.

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
I was on a reading frenzy July 4th weekend - read Koontz' "Deeply Odd", Cussler's "Lost Empire", and Orwell's "1984". Got all of my light reading out of the way and am now reading "Beyond Opinion:Living the Faith We Defend" by Ravi Zacharias.

Anybody reading the Jericho Quinn books by Marc Cameron?

I'm still mourning the loss of Vince Flynn and am looking for a hero to replace Mitch Rapp.

John Wells of the Alex Berenson novels is a good replacement...I've enjoyed his books.

Gabriel Allon of Daniel Silva's books is also a good substitute...

Cotton Malone of Steve Berry's is good as well

Jack Reacher of Lee Child's novel is also good, but not as good as those above

Sadly, no one will replace Flynn's Ironman...I loved those books

The older Reacher novels are quite good, but they've been declining over the last few. I haven't even been able to make myself pay for the most recent one.

Happy, I concur with all your recommendations. I'm on the second book of the John Wells series. I would add James Rollins "Sigma Force" series to that list as well. I have pre-ordered the Latest Silva book. Nelson Demille's "John Corey" thillers are entertaining as well.

I am on the 2nd book of the "Pure" trilogy by Julianna Baggott.

I can not put them down, and the 3rd doesn't come out until February. frown

I listened to the first one, I thought it was good! I have the 2nd but haven't started listening to it yet.

Can't start it until I finish listening to Outpost (sequel to Enclave). You might like that series as well.

Glad to hear the 2nd is even better, so often that is not the case.
