It was bench/rows, dumbbell bench on the floor/dumbbell rows, (3 sets of 10 reps) five rows/five presses repeated 5 times consecutively. 3 sets of 10 Arnold's, then 3 sets of curls until exhaustion.

Don't go to the gym with someone far more fit than you, it's depressing when you look like a wuss! laugh

I just had to find stuff to do that didnt involve my hamstring.
Bench press/lat pulls, Arnold press/dumbell rows, Incline press/pull overs, cable cross overs/cable rows. 4x10 on everything.
As per usual, I got the quesstion while I was doing the dumbbell rows..."Sir, can we ask how old you are?" (16-18 year olds asking)
Standard answer: I'm so old, I died last year! laugh

Were you using one of them as your dumbbell?? I'd guess the gym doesn't carry weights heavy enough for you!

Most people do not use enough weight on dumbbell rows.

We have enough for me. I use 110 lb dumbbells for rows. If you use straps or good gloves you can do more. You just have to concentrate on using your lats and not your arms. It will make you really good at starting lawn mowers...and then throwing them. laugh

They make great harnesses that can hold dogs in a comfortable way (such as to zip-line them over rivers?), you could hook them up, and hoist away!

Without the caption, it looks a little odd. Apparently this dog is scared of water, so this is how he gets her over the river. And to make it better, she doggie paddles in the air while going over it.

I guess even with the caption it's a bit odd.

The look on her face is priceless... she is really focused on paddling the air so she stays above the water! laugh

Tougher and crazier than anything I'll ever do!

For those of you that haven't had the pleasure of being in Iowa, or in other words, most you you besides Pup...we have an annual bike ride across the state called RAGBRAI. The route changes every year, starts on the west end of the state at the Missouri river, ends on the east end at the Mississippi. Usually around 400-450 miles, and goes for a week. There's a bit of a party atmosphere as towns host the bikers over night, supply food and places to camp, etc. There are the serious people, and the people that have a party bus that meets them each night and they get tanked!

Anywho, this guy is a cousin of my co-worker, and I'd love to see him succeed! I didn't see details for how to donate to him, but I'm going to have to seek it out.

Was in for my weight day this morning, thought I was all healed up on Friday or so of last week after my rough weight day a week and a half ago...went to do my dumbbell bench and my left shoulder informed me that no, it's definitely not fine! It was incredibly weak, but not painful or anything, strange. I was going to do my Arnold presses with 25s, I couldn't even hold the weight up in front of me to start it! Even a 15 was a strain. I was disappointed!

On another note, August 24th I have a 2:30 start time at a Warrior Dash with my two brother-in-laws and some of their 20-22 year old friends! Should be a hot, interesting afternoon!

I would start looking at doing some shoulder specific, rehab type, exercises. You need to strengthen (gingerly) all aspects of the shoulder.
Three way (front, lateral and rear) dumbell raises.
Shoulder circles (light, maybe 10 lbs)
Adductors/Abductors use the cables or power bands if no cables available.
There are more if you want them.

NO MILITARY PRESSES! for now.

Stragey on the 20sometings.... take them to the back of the wave and tell them you will be right back.... smirk

How about you just come train me? That would be all-around more productive for me!

Only two of the five of us are runners, but in a 5k with 20 obstacles...running is pretty much irrelevant. They'll be racing, so it won't be a group effort. I'm planning on suggesting road beers during the 2 hour drive to the event...I'll offer to DD of course wink
