I don't know, it was pretty clumsy actually. It was really windy, the lanes were set up on a sandy/gravely parking lot, left a lot to be desired from a safety perspective when you're sprinting and stopping suddenly. He's doing fine, between the hydrocodone and light-work order. Hopefully it'll be a quick recovery, not a ton you can do about it though. He drives a stick, and his break is on the right side, so hopefully it won't be an issue! Not sure he'll let us drag him into it next year though

A better note, when holding a block of cement 1/4th your own body weight, expect that it will throw you off balance if you run faster than your body is prepared to handle. Or, hold the thing to your chest and not out in front of you like it's a dirty diaper! Then you won't have to worry about falling

Use the "Atlas Stone" carry for very heavy. Or over the shoulder for your weight or less.

Noted! So, carrying it on my head like a basket of fruit was a bad idea...oh well! Also, it could be considered an insult to carry a woman in the "traditional" fashion (which is fairly similar to the Atlas Stone style) across the threshold on the wedding night and it's in my best interest to throw her over my shoulder. Would you agree?

Would you agree? Level of sobriety, your bride's personal fascination with cave mannery and how far you plan to run while carryiing her, could all factor in. Along with whether or not you planned on sharing the same bed as her!

Crossfit works. So does Les Mills Pump. Oh! I think that's the class I started doign now at 24 hour fitness... I think it's called "Leslie Mills BodyPUMP." I've been doing their bootcamp class for the last two months or so and decided to try the body pump class so I can fit an extra class in each week. You use lower weights btu do more reps to music, really building resistance ( some reps slow, some faster). OMG, I woudl have thought it woudl be easier than it was after doing boot camp, but I was so sore and couldn't even do all the reps on some of the stuff. So I gave up boot camp compeltely and signed up for Tuesday and Thursday Body pump classes for the month of April (during my work lunch, ha, I look liek carp those days!). I am two classes in and both were hard and left em super sore. But the teacher did say you get more results from this class than the boot camp

http://www.lesmills.com/westcoast/bodypump/bodypump-group-fitness-class.aspxOK, it's just Les Mills, nto Leslie (derrrr). But yeah, thsi is a link to the class. Looks liek you can search to see which gyms offer it. Also, I think the songs they choreograph the reps to change on occassion. Tuesday's music was way awesome btu they talked abotu hwo it was changing for the next class since peopel might be tired of it. Didn't liek Thursdays music much so already lookign forward to what it will be next.

Please see the smut literature thread. If that's what it's about, it needs to be titled as such! Otherwise, I just ignore it as something I know nothing about. After further thought, if I carried her in over my shoulder, she'd most likely be hitting me in the head repeatedly. I don't need any more of that.

Its very effective Dip! Stick with it and I think you'll like it. Or at least the results! I love it so far, and I love that everyone can do the same stuff but at their limit (higher or lower weights as moves are easier or harder for you). One thign I';ve noticed as I've been working out since end of January....pushups aren't bothering my wrists liek they used too, so I can do them in the class with my hands flat on the ground now. Unexpected benefit of exercise

I'm guessing Mighty Mouse could even halt the break-neck speed of Monorail Cat. I'm not sure Business Cat has what it takes in this situation.
Also, how 'bout them push-ups?? Getting close to 100!

Matt - you rock, throwing tires and cement blocks all over the place like they were matchsticks! Pup - you rock with being over 100 pushups early!!! I am (just barely) keeping up with the pushups in 4 or 5 sets scattered through my day. Never would have thought I could do that many. My wrists and shoulders get sore and yell at me but I ignore them and keep on plugging away! The crunches are hurting me much more, but my waistline is getting smaller by the week so hooray for crunches. Ok, I need to stop typing and start driving to the gym. My trainer likes me to be there 15 minutes early and on the dreadmill warming up or she gets this sad, disappointed look on her face, and with my Catholic upbringing, guilt works on me!

I was told yesterday that I run wrong when I went shopping for naturalist shoes. They showed me how I am *suppose* to run and it feels odd. (I take too long of strides and I heel strike.) Can I get a running tutor to re-teach me?
