It appears that NBC cannot believe that Michael Sam did not get drafted yet. Maybe since he is probably a 5th round talent they should not expect him to be in the first round. People don't draft players because they are supposedly "courageous".

Michael Sam came up on sports radio the other morning. The hosts were speculating about the outrage that will probably occur if he goes in a very late round or undrafted. I don't know much about him but from what I have heard despite being named Defensive player of the year in his conference, he isn't that good and his combine numbers weren't impressive.

he already has an endorsement deal with Visa.

We picked up 3 new wide receivers in the dairy state. I guess we need to keep feeding Rodgers healthy targets with all the injury's we have had in recent seasons.

seems that the media focuses more on his off field than on field life...if he was that good of a player, his off field life would be a non-issue. be interesting to see if he makes it through training camp and earns a roster spot. I've never seen him play, so i have no idea if he is good enough to make it.

I've seen him play several times. I think he's pretty good. All the publicity I've seen around him as been positive. I hope he is successful!

I was impressed when I watched "Johnny Football" play, but have been more than disappointed in his attitude off the field in the last several months.

I think the over-the-top celebrations for late-round picks are funny....um....you haven't made the team yet, and chances are, you won't.

All the more reason to celebrate when you can. this could be your last, greatest moment. (Just dont spend that non-guaranteed salary yet)

I'd think the number is very low Ed.....i'm gonna say it is less than 10% (just my guess).

I would think that an undrafted player would have the same chances (or better).

I thought ESPN did Michael Sam a dis-service this weekend. The reaction from the gay sports bar in LA made no sense to me. NFL teams in general hate distractions, and much like Tebow-mania, I'm afraid the ESPN's of the world are going to make him into a huge distraction.
